Rod Begbie originally hails from Scotland, but is currently leaving his heart in San Francisco.
His day job is as a senior software engineer and sheep herder at Slide, Inc. Previously, he has been employed as an API architect at Current TV, in the R&D labs of Bose, as a consultant with Sapient and he ducked out the (first) dot-com-bubble-burst in the basement of a bank doing fixed-income annuity analysis, which is as dull as it sounds.
