Biography

Alan Beaulieu is an independent consultant specializing in the design, development, and implementation of large-scale database systems and associated applications. Alan has over 20 years experience with a wide array of database servers and languages, but specializes in the Oracle Database and is an expert with Oracle's SQL and PL/SQL languages. He holds a B.S. Eng from Cornell University and has written several books for O'Reilly Media, including "Mastering Oracle SQL" and "Learning SQL". When he isn't crafting especially elegant SQL statements, you might find Alan sitting on his dock contemplating life, hiking in a U.S. National Park, playing some mean drums, or working at his latest hobby, alto saxophone.
