Russel Winder is a partner in Concertant LLP (http://www.concertant.com) a consultancy practice focusing on all issues relating to parallel computing systems. In the past he has been a theoretical physicist and a computer science academic (13 years at University College London then 5 years as Professor of Computing Science at King's College London). He left academia to create a startup developing embedded dynamic systems. Moving on from this, he was an independent analyst, consultant, trainer, and author, before starting Concertant LLP.
